Offered is a Territorial Force War Medal, impressed named 593 CPL. G.C. PATTISON. R.E. Comes with copies of: Medal Index Card & medal rolls. Couple of small edge knocks, but generally very good and crisp medal. George C Patterson was born on the 28/2/1896 and was a pre-war Territorial soldier serving with the Royal Engineers, his service number being T593. He volunteered for active service and landed in France post 1/1/1916. When the Territorial Royal Engineers were re numbered in 1917 he was given the new service number 465234. George C Patterson was born on the 28/2/1896 and was a pre-war Territorial soldier serving with the Royal Engineers, his service number being T593. He volunteered for active service and landed in France post 1/1/1916. When the Territorial Royal Engineers were re numbered in 1917 he was given the new service number 465234. The number block 465001 – 470000 being allocated to 50th Division (Northumberland TFA) Tyne Electrical Engineers. He survived the war and was still serving in the R.E. when the Army re numbered in 1920 and was given the new number 2200710. At one stage he was the acting Company Sergeant Major.
