$675.00

SOLD OUT

Description

Offered is a George V era (1911 – 1935) 1822 Pattern British Army Artillery Officer’s sword.

The sword features a wire bound fish skin grip, mounted onto a partially chequered nickel back strap and 3 branched guard. The blade has polished battle & laurel leaf etchings running 1/2 down the length of both sides of the un-marked 88 cm straight blade. Good trophies of arms and motto’s running along both sides of the blade, including Royal Artillery motto and winged lightning symbol. Some light service wear to blade edge.

The leather field service scabbard retains the leather suspension hanger and large style drag, which is showing wear & cut to one length of strap. The scabbard is in good condition with light wear. Generally, a well cared for sword, showing usual service wear. This will be a great addition to your collection.
