Offered is a WW1 Imperial Artillery Officers Sword with original scabbard & sword knot, manufactured by Weyersberg & Kirschbaum, most likely worn between WW1 and WW2. Features a gilded brass guard, with “jewelled” eyed lions head pommel. Floral oak leaf design “D” hand guard, lion head quillion & langet with crossed cannon artillery motif. Gilt triple wire twist handle with black composite binding in very fine condition. The 75cm long spear point blade is single fullered and brightly plated with only slight darkening to back edge. The black painted rolled steel scabbard is in undented condition, with single lose ring mount. Completed with grey green leather & silver thread sword knot. Overall length 88cm, 92.5cm in scabbard.
