Offered is an original Italian Terni made WW1 WW2 1891 pattern bayonet with scabbard & frog. Bayonet & scabbard features steel fittings, with pommel & working release button, used condition wooden grips and metal guard # VF8153. The 30 cm long steel blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped TERNI (for the National Firearms Manufacturing of Terni, Italy). The blades factory sharpened but dull edged with a good blue/black finish to surface. WW1, 1918 stamped scabbard of leather and steel is in excellent condition and completed with a WW2 scabbard frog of brown/green leather, with round metal frog button, showing good honest use to the leather body. Overall length: 43.5cm long. A good used example of a Italian colonials expansionist and wartime bayonet, as used with the classic Italian Carcano and Mannlicher service rifle.
