Offered is a 1942 dated Australian made Second World War made 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard & leather frog.

Bayonet features a steel pommel, with working release button, with wooden grips (stamped SLAZ 42) and metal guard.  The 43 cm long steel blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped XOA (Orange Arsenal), dated 9 42 (September 1942). The blade being factory sharpened only. Standard leather & metal scabbard stamped MANGROVITE 42 to rear seam stitch portion. Retains leather equipment frog, with fastening strap & stamped DENZIL DON 1942 with broad arrow DD. Overall length: 58cm long.
