Medal group to 41754 Corporal Colin Arthur Morison, who served in Darwin between November 1941 and August 1942 and would have seen first hand the effects of the Japanese bombing raids on Darwin in February 1942 and in later raids. He served as a wireless operator at the Darwin RAAF base and would have been one of the key men to transmit messages to and from the areas being hit during the raids, especially with the raids occurring at his own unit base. A boilermaker by trade, he enlisted, having served as 214922 Trooper Morison, AAVC. He attended Wirless Air Gunenr School 9/7/1941 and sent to Darwin 21/11/1941 SHQ & 52 OBU, seeing service there until November 1942. Serving out the rest of his service in NSW, discharging 30/4/1946. Medal entitlement confirmed.
