For sale is a genuine No.7 pattern Sten Mk V submachine gun bayonet.

Bayonet features a swivelling steel pommel, with working release latch, with red/brown composition grips, metal guard & barrel attachment ‘O’ ring. The 20 cm long steel ‘bowie’ style blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped NO7MK1L (Land Service). The blade being factory sharpened only, with signs of service use and light wear. Standard No.5 blackened metal scabbard, with olive drab canvas equipment frog. Overall length: 33cm long.

The Number 7 bayonets were never extensively issued or used, making these items more sought after than the previous models issued for service with the Lee Enfield’s. Only 176,000 were manufactured.
