Offered is WW2 era Australian Army steel helmet. Used/worn steel helmet, with large dents, sections missing sand finish, heavily worn, with portion of the front section of the liner band removed, most likely for comfort in the tropics. Retains chinstrap, Mk III 1942 dated to buckles. Service worn, as shown. These were part of the uniform set belonging to WX34444 Lieutenant Ellen Fullarton, who saw service during WW2 in the pacific as a nurse. Bought locally via the family.
