WW2 era Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm uniform senior officer’s peaked cap

Offered is an original very good condition ‘aviators’ shaped body, with metal & bullion F.A.A. cap badge, sewn to the cotton centre band, with black leather chinstrap, retaining both buttons. Single row of gilt bullion oakleaves to felt covered leather peak. Dark blue wool body crown, showing a thumb nail size moth holes, with adjacent moth tracking area. Interior shows purple silken interior, maker label removed, with majority of the chocolate brown leather sweatband present. Approx. size 58. A very good, desirable piece.
