Description

Offered is a WW2 era German K98 bayonet with scabbard.

Bayonet features blued metal fittings overall, with double waffen stamped pommel with working external release button, with screw in bakelite grips and metal guard & muzzle slot. The 25 cm long blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to each side of the blade, with evidence of sharpening, good spear point, with blade being in good/used condition overall with some of the original blue finish remaining. Ricasso stamped 713 & E&F Horster with date 38 (1938) to spine. Standard metal scabbard with most of the protective blue brown finish, with 752 & Coppel G.m.b.H. 1939 stampings, being practically dent free. Overall length 41cm.
