Description

1938 pattern, die stamped, LW blue paint, steel construction box buckle features a pebbled outer field with a central, embossed, high relief, horizontally oval, laurel leaf wreath encompassing a slightly domed, pebbled inner field with an embossed 1st pattern Luftwaffe eagle to the centre. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse excluding the pebbled field. The reverse has the integral buckle catch and separate prong bar and prongs all intact. The buckle is in overall good, clean condition, having been shaped to better fit the belt.
