Description

For sale – WW2 German M1935 combat uniform steel helmet with green campaign overpaint finish. A large size shell, showing apple green outer enamel surface, with shipping and usual service and storage wear, with 3482 marking and hand painted name to rear skirt, with maker and size initials overpainted to inner right portion. A good unmarked leather chinstrap is present, as is the dark brown leather liner. The outer enamel surface shows many fragmentary chips, meaning this would have been a well-used shell, with campaign service stretching from at least 1940-1943, when many of these were taken out of service, being replaced by later models. Scarce and a great display piece in untouched condition.
