30mm x 21mm die struck alloy badge, gilt finished showing light wear to type IX U-boat, within cogwheel with eagle and swastika top centre. Badge has the knurled stickpin to rear and retains the original LDO jewellers card backing. A rarely seen award given to hard working dockyard workers in western ports on the Western Atlantic coast.
