WW2 GERMAN RED CROSS OFFICER’S DAGGER, KNOT, SCABBARD & HANGERS

Description

Screw in pommel, with ribbed orange grip, with no damage or cracks. The silver plated nickel features overall are near mint, with reverse disk plain and the obverse disk features a half closed-winged eagle clutching a cross in its talons with mobile swastika on the chest of the eagle. A very good condition silver bullion wire knot is tied to both pommel & grip base. The 25cm long blade is nice and bright throughout, with light little if any wear, retaining the brown leather buffer pad. The pebbled nickel scabbard is in likewise near mint condition, with 95% of the original silver frosting, with very light wear to one side of upper chape. Scabbard retains both metal mounting hanger brackets & rare set of the officer’s hangers. A fantastic conditioned piece overall, which would be hard to beat. Scarce.
