Offered is an original WW2 U.S. Office of Strategic Services issue Stiletto Commando Dagger with “Spatula” Pattern Scabbard. Urn shaped brass pommel with 2nd pattern type thick ‘hatched’ grip showing light service use and blackened finish. Un-marked as issued, with blackened steel guard. Very good, used 17cm long plated double edge blade, with factory sharpened edges and good spear point. Spatula type U.S. O.S.S. issue brown leather frog with field applied leather cover, hand sewn over the original sheath & brass end cap, with olive drab painted metal ‘spatula’ belt loop section with applied rubber grip fastening ring. One of the most sought after patterns of fighting knives from the Second World War. Scarce.
