Description

WW2 German Luftwaffe officers’ uniform peaked cap. Blue/grey wool body, the crown nicely shaped, with silver bullion piping to crown, as well as above and below the black ribbed cotton centre band. Bullion outstretched wings and vented cockade with matching early silver bullion eagle and swastika. Black leather peak shows splotch crazing, with twin bullion chin cords, attached to twin domed, silver pebble buttons. Interior retains lightly worn brown leather sweatband, with good chocolate brown cotton interior, with blank celluloid diamond, retaining paper name tag with indecipherable ink name. Approx. size 57. Exceptionally fine overall.
